Standing on Ephesians 2:: 10 “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago
The Gift of serving others
April 7, 2025
This is a short and simple post. The Bible says we must serve. Honestly I love serving because it makes me feel good. Selfish in a way but I understand the value of serving and giving of my time to help others. I use to volunteer A LOT a long time ago. My life was work, family and volunteering. I didn’t do too much for myself personally which had its consequences. Balance in life is key.
But it’s a gift to serve mankind. Service comes in many different forms.
According to :
1 Corinthians 12:5 NLT
“There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord.”
Ezekiel 44:14 NLT
“They are to serve as the Temple caretakers, taking charge of the maintenance work and performing general duties.”
Romans 12:7 NLT
“If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well.”
Ephesians 3:7 NLT
“By God’s grace and mighty power, I have been given the privilege of serving him by spreading this Good News.”
I can go on and on. However instead of me listing the Bible verses you can dive in to the Bible for yourself and learn how service is a gift from the LORD for us to do unto others.
Until Next Time

Life and Death
March 2, 2025
The end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025 has seen a lot of death that can overwhelm anyone. My friend’s grandma was 99 1/2 when she passed on the 29th or December. I was sad but not so much because she lived a LONG beautiful and well lived life. Her funeral was in the first week of January of this year. I couldn’t make it because I was out of town celebrating one of my best friend’s birthday. The day I landed on the 2nd I met up with a new friend of mine and was fortunate to meet his father. Who would have known 7 weeks later he would have passed away. Yes he was sick but when I met him he looked good and I always held out hope and prayed for his turn around in health.
On February 4th my Aunt passed away. She and my mom went to college together. They didn’t know each before they got there but they both happened to be from New York. During the week of my friend’s father’s funeral another friend text me to let me know her cousin passed away.
On top of all these famous people passing away whether from old age, health issues or terrible accidents. The first two months and a day of this year has had me to think about death more than usual.
The common thread that I have heard from every one of my family or family friends funerals whether I attended virtually or in person was that they all believed in Jesus Christ as their savior , which means we’ll see them again. And you know what I take comfort in that because it’s true. This finite life we live …THIS IS NOT IT!!!!
There is life after death when you are a believer in Jesus Christ as your savior. I know it’s something that MANY MANY MANY people will not agree with , believe or doubt. All I can say is I’m sorry to hear but there is evidence which is evident in his living word called the Bible.
I choose not to argue with folks but focus on praying and asking the Holy Spirit to speak to your heart and understand just how much GOD loves you and wants you to trust in him and believe in him.
Sometimes when we see a lot of death we get hopeless but according to his word Jesus stated in John 16:33 “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
If you look in the Bible these words will be in red and they are in red because these are the words spoken by Jesus.
And because GOD loves us he says in his word in Romans 8:38
“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.”
However in order to bask in this forever love , knowing that death is not the end! I stand on and believe John 3:16
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”
And
John 14:6 “Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”
So when life seems heavy and futile and you’re wondering what’s the meaning of it and why do we love and experience life only to die. Think about the bigger picture, think about the LOVE ❤️ that GOD has for you. Think about that you were born for a purpose and that the love of GOD prevails and death is not the end because there is life after it with the Father .
Until next time

So, let’s talk about divine timing, it’s REAL YA’LL, it’s a GOD thing. Not the universe, not happenstance, not kismet, not luck. Divine Timing is a real thing. If you look back over your life and how things have worked out, if you sit and listen to that small whisper from GOD about when you should go, when you stay put that’s just a little slice of what’s called divine timing.
There are several bible verses that discuss God’s divine timing.
Here are a few:
Ecclesiastes 3:1 “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens”
Luke 1:4 “Blessed is she who has believed that the LORD would fulfill his promises to her!”
Proverbs 16:9 “We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps”
Ecclesiastes 3:11 “Yet GOD has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planned eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of GOD’s work from beginning to end.”
This last verse hits me differently because as much as we think we know, or try to know or assume to know how our life should go we don’t. The way my life has gone and is going is all on GOD’s timing. I wouldn’t have orchestrated what has happened to me or what I have gone through at all. Everything especially the last 4 years of my life. I feel I have gone through another type of schooling in terms of faith and understanding the timing of GOD. I have trusted that he has my best interests. Now I am not saying that I wasn’t skeptical, cause I was like surely this ain’t the plan GOD …right Lol!. But I obeyed, which is something you should do even when you are unsure because obedience is a requirement of GOD. But I will talk about that in another post.
Yes, the timing of GOD is divine. There are places we should go and people we should meet. Moments where we should sit still and listen to his voice. Moments when we are rushing and trying to get out the house only to not find our keys where we normally place them. When that happens, know that he is keeping you home just a little longer to avoid an accident or when you happen to leave somewhere earlier only to avoid something terrible that could have happened to you if you would have stayed longer. The LORD knows, he orchestrates and directs. It’s up to us to pay attention, pray, move or stay still when he requires. I’m also learning that, what I want to do and when I want to do it isn’t necessarily what GOD wants me to do and when he wants me to do it.
I will probably expound more on this topic of discussion. Until next time.
