Where we discuss the never ending glorious world of books

Patreon Book Authors to Follow

March 31, 2025

If you like to get to know your authors a little better and chat with them or get to know some behind the scenes on their current work in progress or maybe vote on names for a book title or character names. Check to see if they have a Patreon. It’s where us fans can fan out 😂😂😂

The list is below. Some I am a member of and some I am not cause HON-NAYYYY!!!! , my money ain’t there enough to be a member of them all plus I don’t know all of their works. But I know there are a myriad of people who are reading this and have different literary taste.

If you know of any I missed reach out to me and I’ll add them to the list , I’ll make this a working one, also if you know any male authors that would be cool too. We need more of them:

Black Romance, the best genre to get lost in

March 7, 2025

I of course loved reading books my mom gave me ; Langston Hughes , Octavia Butler books, educational black empowerment books. As much as I still love reading those types of books and buy them. I also read to escape.

There’s a peace in reading and indulging in a world created by a mind that allows you to be captivated and emotionally involved in people who technically aren’t real. But to us readers are as real as the family and friends you know and love. They live rent free in your head and we LIKE IT! 😂😂

There are many, many , many authors that I read and I read multiple books at a time. I don’t want to say these are my fav’s cause there are many books in my Apple Books , Book Funnel and Kindle apps. However here are a few authors that I should mention because I have their books, paperbacks and audiobooks of the same book. Like I will buy the ebook, then the paperback and then the audio of the same book. Yes it’s that deep and important in my reading / listening endeavors.

Here’s a few in no particular order.

1. Christina C. Jones

2. Love Belvin

3. Nicole Falls

4. Nia Forrester

5. Beverly Jenkins

6. Alexandra Warren

7. Danielle Allen

8. Ashley Nicole

9. Tè Russ

10. NAKO

11. Alexandria House

12. B.Love

13. Desiree

14. Bella Jay

15. Shae Sanders

16. Sharon C. Cooper

17. Grey Huffington

18. Delaney Diamond

19. Keith Thomas Walker

20. Reese Ryan

These are just the tip of the iceberg on who’s in my library. Some have Instagram , Threads , YouTube , Pinterest , Facebook , Patreon along with the many other social media outlets. Please check them out when you have a chance.

A few I have mentioned above have collaborations with each other . Christina C. Jones ( CCJ) and Love Belvin have the Connecticut Kings. 10 amazing books about a black owned NFL football team. When I tell you I have never had interest in sports themed books until THIS SERIES…bayyybeee!!!! The only football team I recognize is the Connecticut Kings. You will be absolutely obsessed like I have been and get connected to a team , players , owners and coaches that will forever live in your head and dreams at night.

Next is the collaboration between Nicole Falls and Alexandra Warren. A five book sports series called Nymphs and Trojans ( women and men WNBA & NBA basketball teams ) . LET 👏🏿 ME 👏🏿TELL 👏🏿YOU!!! I’m not a sports person but this series had me hooked on basketball 🏀. Please check out their catalog as they both have really addictive sports themed romance novels . Not just basketball, but boxing , football, baseball , soccer etc .

This is not the end but I don’t want this post to be an actual book length 😂.

Until next time

WHERE DO I BEGIN!!!!!!!

So this will be a little intro . I will mention and maybe discuss on this journey some of the books that I read. You will see me talk incessantly about black romance books and the authors we love. There will be no bashing over here only love and admiration of their work.

I also like the occasionally autobiographical book, history books, educational books (like tax help, or how to learn a new skill) . What I will incorporate is audiobooks and my love affair with the New York Public Library which I am a constant patron and customer.
